Cooper Landing residents are dedicated to being firewise! We applaud this group effort and look forward to sharing findings from the Wildfire Research Team that recently conducted a parcel level survey of properties in our area. One thing we heard from you is that you would like more feedback and resources about your home’s wildfire preparedness. Here are some things to take care of this spring and stay tuned for more information about a possible community wood chipping day!

Fire Prevention Coloring Sheets!

We appreciate local artist, Katie Feichtinger for creating a series of coloring pages to share and this first installment is all about making an emergency plan. Talk with your kids about who to call in an emergency and help them practice their home address. 

The second printable was a coloring contest with another teachable moment to discuss fire prevention! We love to see the beautiful coloring pages and what ideas kids have for preventing fires. Parental help is encouraged and we hope is a fun and educational discussion.
